FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the pharmaceutical industry and represents a liquid composition applicable on skin to protect it against minor burns, surface wounds and scars, containing cellulose nitrate as a cellulose derivative, castor oil as a vegetable oil, and a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate as a volatile solvent for the above cellulose derivative, characterised by the fact that the cellulose derivative content makes 6-13 wt % at dry residue of the total weight of the composition; the vegetable oil content makes 5-15 wt % of the total weight of the composition, whereas oil/cellulose mass ratio at dry residue makes 0.8-1.5.
EFFECT: invention provides producing a dressing base; the dressings have good water- and abrasion-resistance and are homogenous; and provides producing a continuous, flexible and easy-to-use film having the thickness adequate to provide the protective properties and applicable on stretchable and elongated skin areas, eg joints.
