FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicle heating devices. Air heater includes air injection unit, air heating unit, electric motor voltage limiter and device preventing reverse polarity supply voltage. Injection unit includes a brushless DC electric motor with a microprocessor. Heating unit is installed in a shell and is located on a holder inside shell insulators with series-connected helical heating elements. Voltage limiter is arranged on outer side of shell and is arranged on a printed circuit board and electrically connected base elements. Prevention device is installed at input voltage limiter and is made in form of diode bridge with four ports. Method of making holder comprises making holes in metal sheets for attachment of insulators, parts of holder and through-openings to prevent closure of heating elements. Sheets are in form of half of hollow truncated pyramid, insulators are placed thereon. Obtained halves are connected, heating elements are installed and holder is placed in shell.

EFFECT: technical result is improved reliability of heater and reducing dimensions thereof.
