SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a seal for a piston internal combustion engine, namely the design compression rings. Sealing for a piston internal combustion engine comprises a ring placed in a groove of the piston. Cross section of the ring is of triangular shape with inclined side surfaces in contact with the piston groove having an angular shape in cross section, and in the working surface of the ring is cylindrical annular recess in the middle of the ring.
EFFECT: invention enhances the sealing properties of the piston ring and the extension of life of cylinder-piston pair on the whole.
