FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining quantitative content of ginsenosides in objects obtained from ginseng Panax ginseng. Method involves mixing the analysed sample with solutions of phosphomolybdic acid and sulphuric acid with subsequent determination of optical density at wavelength 700 nm and calculation of ginsenosides content are plotted calibration curve using standard specimen. Note here that 0.002M solution of phosphomolybdic acid in isopropyl alcohol and 0.8M sulphuric acid, taken in volume ratio 1:1:0.5 respectively, and the standard sample is ursodeoxycholic acid.
EFFECT: use of the method enables high-accuracy determination of content of ginsenosides.
