FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mineral processing and can be used to separate solids by density, for example processing gold ore and fine sands. Centrifugal concentrator has a bowl with grooves. Bottom of bowl is connected to one end of shaft. Bowl drive is fixed on frame and connected to other end of shaft. Drive includes at least one permanent magnet with alternating poles and interacting with it round ferromagnetic soft magnetic element, axis of which coincides with axis of bowl and which provides non-uniform, with respect to poles of permanent magnet, magnetic resistance turning on permanent magnet poles. Device has a unit for periodic reverse flow direction and drive movement is provided to periodically change alternating bowl rotation speed, so that there is a shift to border wall of pulp layer with respect to its upper layers and shift of pulp relative to grooves of bowl.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability.
