FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the extraction of hydrocarbons in the Arctic. Mobile drilling unit comprises an upper element, where a derrick is located, and which is capable of being transported afloat to a different wellsite and to releasably connect to the tower member located on the base member of the foundation element. Said tower element has a portion extending above the expected level of ice, and the foundation member with an option of ballasting or deballasting so that it can be transported afloat to the installation site. Upper element comprises a rack put forward to lift the upper element of water and lower it into the water and is adapted to fix the top of said tower element so that the advancing rack can be raised from the water after connecting the top element to the tower member.
EFFECT: provides strong opposition to cross ice drift.
