SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computing devices which enable a user to switch within or between applications or Internet sites. The computing device comprises: a display portion for displaying data; and a user input command portion for receiving input commands from a user. The device is configured to: receive, through the input portion, input instructions from a user in accordance with the user-selected portion of the display portion; determine the number of functional elements contained in the user-selected portion of the display portion; and increase the size of the user-selected portion to include the maximum given fixed number of functional elements when the determined number of functional elements is less than the given fixed number; display the first set user-selected functional elements in the first format and display the second set of functional elements in the second format different from the first and containing one or more functional elements of the first set of functional elements associated with the selected portion of the display portion.
EFFECT: more accurate selection of a required hyperlink.
