SUBSTANCE: method of cultivation of root crops comprises band planting of root crops seedlings in March and April, while the narrow-band planting of seedlings is carried out, with inter-band space between the rows in the band of maximum of 0.4 m and simultaneous cutting the slits in the inter-band space with the depth of 0.2-0.3 m using a chisel-like hoe, or the depth of 0.25-0.3 m of the para-plough-guide, mounted on the frame of the drilling machine or the seedling planter, then the inter-band spaces are poured with crushed straw or chaff with the layer of 0.1 m, and watering is carried out using the drip method or ground irrigation machines. When using the irrigation scheme, secondary salinisation of soil is not observed.

EFFECT: obtaining high quality root crop yield using narrow-band planting and chisel-like hoes in the inter-band space.
