FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method involves creating parallel soil ridges and cutting vertical slit in each of said soil ridges from upper edge of soil ridge to solid subsurface soil layer; performing deep mellowing of plow layer and subsurface layer during late autumn period for creating of deep open furrows, with direction of cutting said furrows extending at an angle to irrigation furrows; forming irrigation furrows between wide soil ridges, each of soil ridges having ridge protrusion and path extending along ridge; cutting narrow vertical slit in ridge part of wide soil ridge, said slit extending from upper edge of soil ridge to solid subsurface soil layer; forming wide slit between said path and ridge protrusion, said slit having depth of 1/3 - 1/2 the depth of irrigation furrow; planting seedlings in single line or strip after filling with water of narrow slit to the level of ridge protrusion; during seedling rooting period, providing irrigation along wide slit between said path and ridge protrusion; during flowering and fruit-setting periods, providing irrigation along irrigation furrows between wide soil ridges; providing care and yield harvesting procedures along said path; feeding irrigation water to irrigation furrows from distribution furrow extending symmetrically along one of wider soil ridges.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of irrigation water and improved quality of vegetable crop yield.
