FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention consists in that method of determining porosity of rock sample involves determination of total mineralogical composition sample, determination of relative volume content of each mineral and determining coefficients of attenuation of x-ray radiation for each of said minerals. Method then includes determining first x-ray radiation attenuation coefficient for synthetic sample, consisting of same minerals with same volume content, but without pores. Performing x-ray micro-/nano-computer scanning of sample and determining second coefficient of attenuation of x-ray radiation for analysed sample of rock. Porosity value can be determined for sample, filled with gas, water or light hydrocarbons, and for sample, filled with heavy hydrocarbons or other fluids/gases with attenuation coefficients of x-ray radiation, comparable with x-ray radiation attenuation coefficients of rock sample or synthetic sample.
EFFECT: enabling quick, non-destructive method for determining porosity of a rock sample, which does not depend on performer.
