SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of reactor plants with liquid metal coolants. Method of controlling gas system includes following steps: prior to feeding oxygen into reactor, it is checked whether hydrogen and/or hydrogen supply is stopped; oxygen is fed if no hydrogen is fed into reactor; prior to feeding hydrogen into reactor, it is checked whether oxygen is fed and/or cut off; hydrogen is fed if no oxygen is fed into reactor.

EFFECT: technical result is prevention of combined supply of hydrogen and oxygen into reactor, preventing formation of detonating gas, increased safety and service life of reactor plant.
