FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over concentration of oxygen and hydrogen in reactor plant (RP) coolant. RP comprises reactor, coolant arranged in reactor, gas system, mass exchange apparatus, disperser and sensor of oxygen concentration in coolant. Method involves following steps: oxygen concentration is evaluated; oxygen concentration is compared with upper and lower permissible values; if oxygen concentration exceeds upper permissible value, checking whether mass exchanger is activated, and it is deactivated, and from gas system into reactor gas containing hydrogen is fed, and/or disperser is activated; if concentration of oxygen in coolant is lower than allowable value, checking whether disperser is disabled, and disperser is deactivated or supply of gas containing hydrogen is terminated, and mass exchanger is activated.
EFFECT: prevention of hydrogen and oxygen combined feed into coolant, increased safety and service life of reactor plant.
