FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: device contains installed in a casing a tool for cold upsetting, a swaging element and a punch. The tool for cold upsetting is installed supported by a bushing, a thrust bush and a support nut. The swaging element is made in the form of an external ring, a ring with slots making the elements linked with the external ring by means of resilient lobes, and a nut. The lobes are arranged at an angle of 5-40° to the external ring. The nut during installation moves the external ring of the swaging element, and creates via the resilient lobes and elements of the split ring the force, that ensures compression stress in the external surface of the tool.

EFFECT: compensation of the tangential tension forces in the tool, thus increasing its reliability.
