FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food and fodder industry, specifically to equipment for extrusion treatment of food and fodder products. During method, raw material and water are fed into extrusion chamber. Moistened raw material is directed by transfer auger elements successively into zone with kneading auger elements, then by transfer auger elements into zone of reversing auger elements, steam discharge zone with transfer auger elements and then into prematrix zone of extrusion chamber. Then raw material is extruded through matrix forming draw dies. In area with kneading auger elements is performed preliminary cooking of material with recuperative steam. Steam is discharged from steam extraction via steam line with expansion chamber, control valve and nozzle. Through nozzle, steam is supplied into zone with kneading auger elements. In area of reverse auger elements is maintained temperature 160-200 °C, pressure of 3-10 MPa and moisture content of raw material of 12-20 %. Device includes an extrusion chamber with series-arranged zones: transfer auger elements, kneading auger elements, transfer auger elements, reversing auger elements, transfer auger elements, prematrix zone and matrix forming draw dies. Immediately after zone of reversing auger elements transfer auger elements are made with pitch which is 1.5-2 times greater than that of rest of auger elements with formation of steam extraction zone communicated with expansion chamber steam line. Steam line is equipped with adjusting valve and is connected to mixing zone with auger elements. Length of steam extraction zone is 1.0-1.5 times turn of transfer auger element in said zone.

EFFECT: use of invention improves quality of resulting product.
