FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to binocular for day and night surveillance. Claimed device comprises the day channel composed by two-component objective, erector and eye lens with cross hairs. Besides, it comprises night channel composed by two-component objective, optoelectronic image intensifier, night channel projection lens and eye piece with cross hairs shared with day channel. Additionally, this binocular comprises optical switching system consisting of four optical positioners. Note here that day channel objective first component is a two-lens splice composed of biconvex lens and negative meniscus while second component is composed by concave-flat lens. Day channel first component doubles as the night channel objective first component.
EFFECT: two-component day channel objective with first component focus smaller than that of day channel objective.
