FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of biocides in oil deposits. Method of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore comprising introducing well treatment fluid comprising at least one encapsulated biocide is selected from above group, wherein upon administration of encapsulated biocide and after a predetermined period of time, biocide is released from encapsulating material and processes wellbore and underground formation, well treatment fluid further comprises a non-encapsulated biocide and encapsulated biocide is peculiar to such a release profile that encapsulated biocide provides an initial concentration of biocide capable of ensuring immediate control of microbial growth within subterranean formation and wellbore, and delayed release of a biocide for long-term control microbial growth. Invention is developed in dependent claims.
