FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a mechanism for the provision of readings of the multiturn angular position of an input link. The said mechanism (100) for the provision of readings of the multiturn angular position of an input link (106) includes a set of rotating links (104A-104D), made with possibility of rotation during use in accordance with the rotation of the input link (106); a set of measuring transmitters (114A), made with a possibility of measurement and provision of the angular position of at least one of the rotating links; and a device (114), made with a possibility of using the results of the angular position measurement from the set of measuring transmitters to provide reading of the multiturn angular position of the input link, wherein the rotating links are made with a possibility of simultaneous rotation, but with different speeds, the set of rotating links includes at least four rotating links, and the set of measuring transmitters includes at least four measuring transmitters, made with a possibility of measuring and provision of the angular position of the appropriate one of at least four rotating links, each of the rotating links (104A-104D) has any different gearing ratio of speed relatively to other rotating links, and from one of the set of rotating links (104A) all other rotating links are directly put into rotation.

EFFECT: assurance of a large working range, as well as higher tolerances for the play in the device, and more lower requirements for accuracy, this ensures the use of less precision and expensive elements, as well as the assurance of the possibility of the device operation under the back-up mode upon any transmitter failure.
