FIELD: thermocompressors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for compressing gaseous media, in particular regenerative thermocompressors. Apparatus comprises first housing 31, inside which is moving first piston 71 that separates first chamber 11 and second chamber 12. Inside second housing 32 is movable second piston 72 which separates third chamber 13 and fourth chamber 14. First heat exchange circuit 21 connects first chamber with fourth chamber and having first heat exchanger 5, connected to a heatsink. Second heat exchange circuit 22 connects second chamber to third chamber and second heat exchanger 6 is connected to a heat source. Bypass channel 29 connects first chamber with second chamber, so that said bypass channel is a device for preventing backflow.
EFFECT: first and second pistons are mechanically connected to element 19, providing reciprocating movement of pistons for compressing gaseous fluid towards outlet.
