FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method includes determining extent of bud mite populations of plants and disinfection of affected cuttings with an environmentally friendly method. Cuttings are immersed in tap water at room temperature of 17-24 °C after completion of laying female mites and larvae hatching in fall, or before start of egg-laying of females over-wintered in early spring just before planting. Cuttings are immersed in water in a horizontal position, covering them with a layer of water at least 3 cm and not more than 5 cm, with exposure in treatment for 2 days.
EFFECT: method increases survival rate of cuttings and enables to obtain a healthy planting material.
