FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves growing plants; settling plant with lices; multiplying and delivering image midge into pond for egg laying, with lice honeydew artificially applied to substrate (plant, tissue) being positioned in pond instead of lices, and midge females are apt to lay eggs in the vicinity of lice honeydew; collecting eggs together with substrate and using them in accordance with purpose. Method allows biological controlling of destructive kinds of lices to be effectuated, quantity of plants and population of lices used for rearing of midges to be reduced and methods of scientific investigations of midge behavior to be optimized by eliminating usage of plant feeder. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved insect ecology and wider range of usages of preimaginal phases of aphidophage both for scientific and practical purposes. 2 cl
