FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing additional planting in planted potato row spacings of equivalent amount of early or medium potato tubers during bud-formation period; providing series of sequential (once a decade) pre-emergence hilling of additionally planted tubers to provide for formation of powerful root system and elongated underground stalks forming large number of stolons, which are converted into large number of tubers in the future; harvesting potato twice in Russia: first (main) yield is harvested during the period of from last decade of June to beginning of July (early sorts) and during second and third decade of July (medium sorts), and second yield is harvested during the period of from last decade of September to first or second decade of October (medium sorts); removing tops and roots from field after each potato harvesting operation and disposing of them.
