SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable shielding, specifically, to AC-coupled low-inductance cable. Shielding and protection against emitted RF energy at the cable entry point to the case is improved when cable shield is AC-coupled along the whole case opening with use of a cylindrical, tubular or disc-shaped capacitor. The capacitor may be coupled electrically to the shield and case along inner and outer periphery of the capacitor.
EFFECT: reduced inductance, improved shielding of the opening, improved AC-filtration characteristics and prevented incorrect connection is prevented between the case and cable shield.
