FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: assembled catheter comprises a catheter (12); a catheter cuff (14) comprising a distal portion and a proximal portion; the assembled catheter is characterised by the fact that the distal portion is attached to the catheter (12), and the proximal portion forms a chamber (24); the assembled catheter also accommodates a needle (16) passing through the catheter cuff (14) and the catheter (12) and limiting the axial direction; the needle (16) has opposite proximal and distal ends; the distal end forms a needle tip (18); there is also provided a needle cuff (20) attached to the proximal end of the needle (16), and a needle safety device (26) configured to slide on the needle (16); the needle safety device (26) is partially fixed in the chamber (24) of the catheter cuff (14), or the needle safety device (26) is provided completely outside the catheter cuff (14) by means of one retaining arm (54) coupling with the outside of the catheter cuff (14), and a support arm (66) provided on the side of the needle safety device (26); this side is formed opposite the retaining arm (54) when the needle (16) passes through the catheter cuff (14) and the catheter (12); the needle safety device (26) is removable from the catheter cuff (14) when the needle tip (18) is buried in the needle safety device (26) after the needle (16) has been removed from the catheter (12).

EFFECT: simple design and easy use, a possibility to provide reliable protection against a needlestick when the needle has been removed from the catheter and the catheter cuff.
