SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of downloading a subscription into a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) embedded in a terminal. The method comprises transferring an integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) to the said terminal; sending the said ICCID over an IP link to a secure vault; selecting in the said secure vault a subscription corresponding to the said ICCID; transmitting the said subscription to the said terminal over the said IP link; and storing the said subscription in the said terminal.
EFFECT: enabling the remote selection of a subscription and a user profile version.
