FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. To obtain calcium carbonate in form of particles, green liquor in sulphate pulping is prepared. Method includes slaking calcium oxide in water to form calcium hydroxide in form of lime milk. Reaction of lime milk with green liquor to produce white liquor and unwashed lime sludge containing calcium carbonate. Lime sludge is separated from white liquor and washed with water to produce a weak alkali liquor. Weak liquor is used for slaking calcium oxide in first reaction.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain homogeneous calcium carbonate in form of particles with improved brightness and colour, increased amount of regenerated liquor with minimal dilution with water, shorter time of separation of particles from liquor, in which they are suspended.
