FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser engineering. Multipass laser amplifier is designed as an optical system with an even number of optically interfaced mirrors, constructed according to Cassegrain optical system type, wherein mirrors are made of optically active material. Active medium is pumped by radiation of laser diodes arranged in mirror surfaces. Said surfaces have coatings that are reflecting for amplified laser light and antireflective for pumping radiation. Opposite mirror surfaces have coatings that are antireflective for amplified laser light and reflecting for pumping radiation of laser diodes.
EFFECT: technical result is reducing number of optical elements while increasing radiation beam output power and ensuring small divergence thereof.
