FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and is used in casting of steel parts for railway car trucks, particularly bolsters and side walls. Mold top part is formed with print cast pattern with minimum machining allowance. Upper half of model of cast article is placed on flask, as result, between upper part of model and imprinted with minimum machining allowance gap is formed. In gap sand-resin mixture is blown, which forms forming layer between print with minimum machining allowance in molding frame and top half of model. Sand-resin mixture is cured to form shape, thickness of which is equal to thickness of gap between print with minimum machining allowance and top half of model of cast article. Mold bottom part is formed similarly.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of steel castings.
