FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to production of addition alloys, and can be used when producing nitrogen-containing alloys for manganese containing steel alloying with nitrogen. For producing nitrogen-bearing alloy initial manganese-containing alloy containing not less than 57 % of manganese, is crushed to powder with particles size not exceeding 5 mm. Powder is placed into installation of high pressure in atmosphere of nitrogen containing not less than 99 vol%, volumetric heating of powder is carried out to temperature of not less than 200 °C at pressure over 10-6 MPa. Then exothermal reaction of formation of manganese nitrides is initiated at pressure of not more than 12 MPa by local heating of powder to nitride formation start temperature. Nitrogen containing alloy provides high degree of recovery of nitrogen by steel at its introduction to molten metal.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain nitrogen-containing alloy environmentally safe method with minimum power consumption, having along with high nitrogen content of its uniform distribution throughout the volume, wherein obtained alloy has no contamination by oxygen inclusions and other impurities.
