FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the operation method of the dosing device to add an additive to a spent gas treatment device. Under the method at stage A) the additive quantity required for the spent gases treatment device (2) is determined. Then at stage B) the operation mode for the dosing device (1) is determined. At least stages B.1) and B.2) are executed. At the stage B.1) the working characteristic of the component of the dosing device (1) is ensured, it determines ageing of the dosing device (1). At stage B.2) the operation mode for the dosing device (1) is set depending on the working characteristic from stage B.1). At stage C) the dosing device (1) is operated under the set operation mode such, that the spent gases treatment device (2) is supplied with the dosing quantity required according to stage A).

EFFECT: assurance of the high accuracy of dosing.
