FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining and may be used for machining of plastic articles, mainly of caprolon. Device for processing of caprolon blanks includes billet lathe with cutting tool, workpiece rotation drive and device to feed tool. Lathe is equipped with ultrasonic oscillating system consisting of housing to accommodate electromechanical converter concentrator-amplifier oscillation amplitude and working tool in form of conical tip. Ultrasonic system moves ahead of cutter to internal surface of blank relief and generation of ultrasonic vibrations with frequency of 22-25 kHz, amplitude of 0.1-100 mcm, intensity of 1-3·10-3 W/m2.
EFFECT: high efficiency of processing and physical-mechanical properties.
