SUBSTANCE: method of making a disposable absorbent article comprises steps preparing a highly elastic body part and an absorbent assembly having an absorbent core. Method includes stretching said highly elastic body part in transverse direction, attaching side margins of absorbent assembly to stretched highly elastic body part at attachment regions, and relaxing body part so as to induce folds in absorbent assembly. Centre region of absorbent assembly between attachment regions is minimally attached to stretched highly elastic body part to reduce bunching of absorbent core. Also disclosed is an article made by said method.
EFFECT: making absorbent articles comprising elastic parts which are less likely to lead to undesirable bunching of absorbent element.
