MULTICHANNEL FIBRE-OPTIC NEURAL INTERFACE FOR MULTIMODAL MICROSCOPY OF ANIMAL BRAIN Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01N21/62 G01N21/64

Abstract RU 2584922 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: multichannel fibre-optic neural interface for multimodal microscopy relates to devices which enable to obtain in endoscopic mode optical images of biological tissues, in particular, brain freely moving laboratory animals. In device end multichannel fibre-optic probe is aligned with focal plane of scanning confocal microscope, and other distal end is used for collection of multiplex (multispectral) fluorescent optical signal or Raman scattering signal. Image of investigated object is formed in confocal mode of area adjacent to end of fibre and is transmitted in reverse direction in a recording system. Source used is a continuous single-frequency laser.

EFFECT: high spatial resolution, complex detection of various functional processes or morphological features tissues in brain, studying without using biomarkers, reduction of high-frequency noise and high image quality.
