FIELD: roads.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway track and can be used for reconstruction or conversion of existing track to long-welded track. For repair of tracks the rail being welded is unfastened on each sleeper. Sleeper is shifted in zone of supposed weld and butt straps are dismantled. Rail ends at the point of weld are lifted and part of the rai is cut, including the utmost bolt hole if available. Then, rail is mounted at by rollers and along the outline of rail a chamfer is made. Rail is drawn at rolls till complete adjacency of rail ends. Rollers are removed and rail is set in rail fasteners. Welding and removal of flash, and then welded seam is subjected to coarse grinding, heat treatment and then finishing grinding. For abutment to the previously laid line a temporary insert is used being connected with new and existing rail via butt straps.
EFFECT: possibility to reconstruct acting lines without removing old links and providing high reliability of connections.
