FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in explosive forming, particularly in production of ogival-shaped shells of liquid-propellant rocket engines. Method includes installation package shells in matrix for explosion equipped with hydraulic clamps at edges of the shell to seal inner cavity. Then evacuated space between shells. Explosion forming is carried out using water transfer medium and inclusion of explosive charges, weight equivalent signal is proportional to diameter of shell in each cross-section. Weight of charges in boundary areas of top and bottom clamps is increased for compensation of influence of clamps on force shock wave. At that, weight of boundary charges taking into account additional ones is calculated by said formula.
EFFECT: as a result invention allows to produce identical minimum clearances between shells, determine value of charges in top and bottom clamps at explosion to ensure qualitative soldering of shells package.
