FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of connecting insulated conductors in treating subsurface formation. Method of connecting two insulated conductor ends includes connection of end section of core of first insulated conductor with end section of core of second insulated conductor. At least part of end sections of cores is at least partially bare. Electrically insulating material is placed on top of bare sections of cores. Sleeve is placed on top of end sections of two connected insulated conductors. Said sleeve has one or more raised sections. End sections include bare areas of cores. Sleeve is connected with cladding of conductors. Mechanical compression of raised sections of sleeve is carried out until raised sleeve sections have diameter, essentially similar to diameter of remaining part of sleeve. During compression of raised sections of sleeve, electrically insulating material inside said sleeve is pressed.
EFFECT: high efficiency of connection and improved insulating properties.
