SUBSTANCE: it is suggested to introduce into composition of iron electrode active mass of nickel-iron accumulator lead compound from the range of oxide, hydroxide, sulphate, sulphide, lead acetate in quantity of 0.2-1.0 wt % and organic additives based in compounds of hydroxy-naphthalenes, for example β-hydroxy-naphthalene, 2-hydroxy-1-naphthalic acid in quantity of 0.1-0.5 wt %.
EFFECT: improved capacity of iron electrodes at cycling of nickel-iron accumulators and reduced self-discharge at storage in charged state.
