SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural elements of boilers, operating on solid fuel. Disclosed is a boiler grate (102), comprising: air channels for supplying primary air to a furnace (100) of a boiler. At least one channel (203) is open on top, whereby channel is arranged to collect ash and material from furnace. At least one ash removal means (301, 701, 751) is placed in said channel and arranged to move ash and material mechanically along said channel. In addition, a boiler is provided, which comprises said grate (102). Ash removal means (301, 701, 751) is arranged to move ash and material mechanically towards an ash chute. In an example said grate comprises a set of air nozzles (210, 202), which are arranged to supply primary air into said furnace; and said channel is placed between air nozzles.
EFFECT: use of invention increases efficiency of ash removal from grate.
