SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a biocomposite plate, a process for its manufacture and to its use. Plate comprises a) at least one type of natural fibres and b) at least one thermosetting biopolymer, said plate having residual moisture content in terms of its total weight of less than 8.0 wt%. Plate comprises at least two sheets of paper, and biopolymer includes furan resin obtained by polymerising composition containing a compound of formula (I) and/or formula (II): where n, t, s, w, z, and X, Y, R¹-R²⁰ are defined according to description, and dotted line denotes an optional double bond, weight fraction of biopolymer in terms of total weight of said plate is at least 20.0 wt%.
