Next, a therapeutically effective amount of at least one cationic steroid antimicrobial (CSA) from the compound of Formula (III), or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is administrated to a patient that needs that. This CSA modulates the genes related to inflammation, treating, reducing, or preventing acute or chronic inflammations and pains related to disease or symptom of the disease:
(III), where R3, R7, R12 and R18 are independently selected from the group consisting of aminoalkyloxy, aminoalkylcarboxy, alkylaminoalkyl, alkoxycarbonylalkyl, alkylcarbonylalkyl, di(alkyl)aminoalkyl, alkyloxycarbonylalkyl, alkylcarboxyalkyl and hydroxyalkyl.
EFFECT: use of a group of inventions makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment, reducing or prevention of acute or chronic inflammation and pain related to said diseases or symptoms of the disease.
