SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to valve manufacturing and is designed to shutoff a pipeline. Valve comprises a body with an outer perimeter which defines the outer surface of the valve and an inner perimeter which defines a flow path through the valve. Closure member and a seat are located within the inner perimeter of the valve body. Closure member is configured to selectively open and close the flow path. Seat is configured to interact with a portion of the closure member when the closure member is in a closed position to prevent flow through the flow path. Stem is configured to support the closure member in the flow path. Connector of the closure member and the stem is configured to connect and rotate the closure member and the stem. At the same time the closure member is movable relative to and independent of the stem along the longitudinal axis of the stem, preventing relative rotation of the stem. Method of using such a valve is provided.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the valve, particularly in its vertical position.
