SUBSTANCE: invention relates to beverage preparation system, which includes machine for beverage preparation, cartridge containing one or several drink ingredients and coded insert. Machine for beverage preparation contains a head for cartridge arrangement. Cartridge comprises main code designed for transferring commands onto beverage preparation machine to supply beverage from the cartridge. Coded insert is made separately from the cartridge and can be arranged in the head together with cartridge. Coded insert comprises auxiliary code designed for transferring alternative commands onto beverage preparation machine to supply modified beverage from the cartridge.
EFFECT: by means of cartridge, together with information read directly with the cartridge, machine can produce modified beverages expanding possible range of produced beverages.
