SUBSTANCE: device comprises a unit for supply of spoons to position of dispensing in suspended state, first gripping device configured to grip one spoon in dispensing position and its movement in position of delivery in container. Unit comprises two sets of performing reciprocating movement of retaining pins, adapted for dispensing one spoon for once in dispensing position and gripping device comprises two retaining pin with semicircular shape corresponding to form of spoons, so that inner side of gripping fingers against edge of spoon. Invention relates to a method of automatic placement of spoon in container. Method comprises feeding spoons with supply assembly thereof to spoon griping position, where spoon is suspended with handle directed downwards, output of one spoon by means of two sets of performing reciprocating movement of retaining pins located in unit of supply, grip spoon around its edges of first gripping device and movement of spoon delivery to first position, where spoon is output from gripping device for placement in container. Spoon, fed into a container comprises cup-like part with edge and an elongated handle. Cup-like part with edge is designed to grip gripping fingers of device described above.
