SUBSTANCE: device comprises rotary assembly with multiple distributed along circle elements to retain cover, unit for supply of covers designed for supply of individual cover to one of elements to retain cover, glue application unit on outer edge of cover, held by one of elements for its retention, attachment assembly of cover equipped with glue, to container. At that, cover feed assemblies, application of glue and attachment of cover are distributed along the circumference around rotating unit in operating positions in accordance with circular distribution elements to retain cover so that elements to retain cover can be directed to each of units simultaneously by means of rotation of the rotating assembly. Device also contains at least one distributed further along circle element to retain cover arranged on rotating unit, unit for attachment of separate object to cover of unit for attachment of object has unit of its supply and at least one transmitting device configured to grip an object from its feed assembly and attachment to cover. Device is assembled so that when elements to retain cover are directed to units of feed cover, glue application and attachment of covers, respectively, additional element for holding cover is positioned so that it is located ahead of at least one transmission. Method is implemented using above described device. Method includes rotation of rotating unit with multiple distributed along circle elements to retain cover, supply of individual cover to one of elements to retain cover by means of feed assembly cover attachment of additional separate object to cover by means of attachment assembly of separate object, applying glue onto outer edge of cover, held by one of elements to retain cover by means of glue application assembly, attaching cover provided with glue, to container by cover attachment assembly.
