FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: load-bearing support for a boot of vehicles is made with a possibility of connection with a load-bearing plate. Load-bearing support comprises a main part, a support surface, a locking mechanism and a retaining mechanism. Locking mechanism includes a tensive element providing movement of a wedge-like element along the longitudinal length of the load-bearing plate. Wedge-like element holds the load-bearing plate with the load-bearing plate in the fixation position. Tensive element is installed with a possibility of actuation of the retaining mechanism. Main part has a recess to receive a part of the load-bearing plates. Wedge-like element transmits components of force along the height and/or width of the load-bearing plate so that the wedge-like element holds the load-bearing plate with the load-bearing support in the fixation position. Vehicle boot installed on the roof, comprises the said first and second load bearing supports and a load-bearing plate.

EFFECT: there is achieved higher reliability of the boot fixing.
