FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: suspension system for connecting support structure and support structure (14) of elevator installation, having housing and hitch plate (32). Housing has two spaced-apart side walls (30), whereby side walls are arranged to accommodate part of support structure between side walls. Each side wall has receiving opening (38) having a longitudinal shape. Hitch plate has at least one fixture configured to couple to sheave arrangement (22) for suspension means. Each receiving opening is has dimensions to accommodate movable part of hitch plate so that hitch plate passes between side walls for rotation about a vertical axis. Elevator installation comprises said means. Method consists in use of said means for connection of supporting structure of elevator installation and suspension means.
EFFECT: simplified modification of elevator installation.
