FIELD: lifts and elevators. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mounting of lift mechanisms in lift well. According to proposed method of mounting lift equipment in lift well in upper part of which at least one suspension member is connected, to hold well equipment in process of mounting suspension device is secured on suspension member of well and lifting device is connected to suspension device, in its turn. When using this method, cabin is held by lifting device connected to suspension device in lift well, and guides are lifted in well using the cabin for this purpose. Work is done from upper story of building. Device can be furnished with mounting tool in form of rod with appliance on end by means of which overload safeguard and other well devices can be suspended when operator is at the upper story.
