FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for setting level of dimming of multiple light sources. Result is achieved by optimising dimming levels of lighting sources of a lighting system through optimisation of lighting system so that power consumption of lighting devices is reduced. Result is achieved by lighting controller (10) is configured to set dimming levels of a plurality of light sources, said lighting controller comprising a processor arranged to determine, based on information about a target power level or target power reduction, a dimming level for each of said plurality of light sources so as to reduce power consumption from plurality of light sources towards target power level or target power reduction and so as to provide a target spatial illumination at said workspace.
EFFECT: technical result is providing devices for smart lighting control.
