SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication system which implements minimisation of operational texts (MDT) and enables, based on MDT data communicated from user equipment (UE), to track and detect different types of problems in network. Invention discloses a mobile communication device, which receives MDT configuration requests from base station or radio network controller to initiate session of MDT measurement to obtain measurement data and location related data for identification of location, with which said measurement data are associated.

EFFECT: mobile communication device checks a user consent indicator in memory and provides location related data only if user consent indicator indicates that user of mobile communication device consents to provide location related data.
