SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of recovering hydrocarbons from a polyolefin purge gas product. Method includes following steps: recovering a polyolefin product comprising one or more volatile hydrocarbons from a polymerisation reactor; contacting polyolefin product with a purge gas to remove at least a portion of volatile hydrocarbons to produce a polymer product having a reduced concentration of volatile hydrocarbons and a purge gas product enriched in volatile hydrocarbons, wherein volatile hydrocarbons comprise hydrogen, methane, one or more C_2-12 hydrocarbons, or any combination thereof, and wherein purge gas product is at a pressure of about 50 kPa (abs) to about 250 kPa (abs); compressing purge gas product to a pressure of about 2,500 kPa (abs) to about 10,000 kPa (abs); cooling compressed purge gas product; separating cooled purge gas product into at least a first product, a second product, and a third product; and recycling at least a portion of at least one of first product as purge gas, second product to polymerisation reactor, or third product to purge gas product enriched in volatile hydrocarbons prior to compression.
