SUBSTANCE: in various embodiments, a user interacts with remotely executing mobile applications from a vehicle. Vehicle may include at least one computer that includes a human machine interface (HMI) for control by user. Mobile applications may be executing on an application server that is remote from vehicle and communicating with at least one computer. Further, mobile applications may be configured to receive inputs from and transmit outputs to at least one computer. HMI application executing on at least one computer may enable provisioning of one or more services of HMI to mobile applications so that inputs and/or outputs to mobile applications may be exchanged.
EFFECT: vehicle-based operation of mobile applications from at least one computer via HMI may thus be enabled.
